What to look for in a modern toilet bowl
Today's toilet bowls are mostly one-piece designs, prized for their clean, seamless look and easy maintenance, with fewer joints and crevices to trap dirt. Flushing has improved too: tornado (whirlpool) flushing is the current trend, sending water swirling around the bowl for a more thorough, hygienic clean while using less water.
What is tornado flushing?
Tornado flushing sends water swirling around the bowl in a powerful whirlpool motion, giving a cleaner, more hygienic rinse with each flush while using less water than an older rim-style flush.
What is the latest toilet bowl design?

Toilet bowl buying questions
One-piece or two-piece toilet bowl?
A one-piece toilet has the cistern and bowl moulded together for a sleek look and easy wiping, with no gap to trap dirt. A two-piece (close-coupled) toilet has a separate cistern and is usually kinder on the budget. Both flush just as well.
S-trap or P-trap, and how do I check?
This has to match your existing plumbing. An S-trap sends waste down through the floor, the most common setup in HDB and condo bathrooms. A P-trap can route to the wall or the floor, and is the one you need when the floor waste sits too close to the wall. For an S-trap, measure from the finished wall to the centre of the floor waste.
